The Physical Activity Policy Research and Evaluation Network

All are invited to get involved with the PAPREN group! They want researchers as well as practitioners, and there are subgroups on transportation and health equity. No cost to be involved. “The Physical Activity Policy Research and Evaluation Network (PAPREN) is a community of researchers, practitioners, trainees, and others interested in how the environment shapes people’s opportunity to be physically active and how those opportunities can be expanded and improved based on evidence. It will also be relevant for individuals interested in the equity implications of policy decisions in these areas.”

Why join PAPREN? “Achieving communities that support physical activity as part of daily life will require solutions that cross traditional boundaries. There is exciting work going on in many sectors. Many specialists in these sectors don’t interact regularly across sectors. Innovative research may not get translated into practice. PAPREN creates spaces for the boundary-spanning collaboration needed to create communities where people can be active as part of daily life. It offers a unique forum to generate and share ideas that can bring research to practice and to evaluate implementation to identify best practices. PAPREN can help you widen and deepen your network.”
